AVP, Legal Counsel (Markets Legal Advisory)

About This Role

OCBC seeks an AVP, Legal Counsel to provide critical legal support to Markets and Derivatives businesses. This role involves drafting agreements and advising on complex financial transactions within a dynamic banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support to markets and derivatives business globally.
• Draft and negotiate Master Agreements (ISDA, CSA, etc.) with counterparties.
• Resolve queries regarding agreements by coordinating with internal specialists.
• Ensure adherence to bank documentation standards and maintain templates.
• Work on regulatory or bank-initiated projects.
• Review derivatives product term sheets with business teams.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with 5-8 PQE.
• Experience in derivatives, repurchase, or securities lending is advantageous.
• Familiarity with financial services regulation/banking is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
