Research Fellow (Environmental Science and Engineering/ Bioengineering/ Chemical Engineering)

About This Role

NTU seeks a Research Fellow to develop microbial platforms for sustainably recovering metals from environmental sources. The role involves designing hybrid systems for biosensing and green energy generation.

Responsibilities

• Investigate microbial platform responses to metal species.
• Design and construct abiotic–biotic hybrid systems.
• Study nanoparticle-microorganism interactions.
• Perform materials and microbial characterization.
• Evaluate hybrid system performance through experiments.
• Prepare manuscripts and IP disclosures.

Requirements

• PhD in relevant engineering/science field.
• Familiarity with environmental biotechnology and hybrid systems.
• Hands-on laboratory research experience.
• Record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
