About This Role
NTU seeks a Research Fellow for the PESS Department to contribute to the Research Centre for Sport, Physical Activity, and Health. This 32-month contract role involves leading research projects, securing funding, and disseminating findings in sports science.
Responsibilities
- Lead conceptualization and execution of research projects in sports science/health.
- Apply quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze complex datasets.
- Conduct literature reviews and prepare ethics applications.
- Draft competitive research grant proposals and secure funding.
- Author manuscripts for top-tier journals and present at conferences.
- Mentor junior staff and foster external collaborations.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Sports Science, Physical Education, or related field.
- Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
- Robust portfolio of peer-reviewed publications.
- Ability to independently conduct literature reviews and propose research gaps.
- Strong self-motivation to drive projects with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English.
- Strong collaborative ethos within multidisciplinary teams.
