Research Assistant (Physics/Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics/Machine Learning)

About This Role

NTU seeks a Research Assistant to conduct cutting-edge research in quantum algorithm design, applying AI to complex physical systems. This role involves independent research and collaboration within a leading computing college.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent research in quantum algorithm design.
• Apply AI to automate quantum algorithm design utility.
• Analyze complex wave-based physical systems and parameter spaces.
• Produce publications in top conferences and journals.
• Guide students involved in the project.
• Collaborate with industrial and academic partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields (Physics, CS, Engineering, Math, ML).
• Strong theoretical background in quantum algorithms or complex physical systems.
• Good programming skills in Python.
• Familiarity with scientific computing frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Qiskit) is advantageous.
• Experience in interdisciplinary research involving physics/deep learning is preferred.
• Experience with quantitative modelling or complex physical systems analysis is preferred.
• Excellent communication and willingness to learn.
• Ability to be an effective team member.
