Assistant Director, College Philanthropy

About This Role

Seeking a strategic Assistant Director to lead fundraising and stewardship for the College Philanthropy Unit. This role drives philanthropic growth by managing high-net-worth relationships and executing comprehensive development strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight of stewardship and fundraising programs across the donor lifecycle.
• Manage a portfolio of significant donors through full-cycle engagement and solicitation.
• Identify, cultivate, and develop gift prospects to build the fundraising pipeline.
• Oversee the overall stewardship program performance, including setting KPIs and executing engagement opportunities.
• Collaborate with leadership to advance institutional fundraising objectives and secure gifts.
• Supervise team members, manage the budget, and ensure compliance with gift agreements.

Requirements

• Tertiary education in a relevant field.
• 10+ years in customer service, sales, or marketing (fundraising experience a plus).
• Proven experience in complex relationship-based selling or equivalent roles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage diverse donor portfolios with high-level face-to-face engagement.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with strong judgment and excellent multitasking abilities.
• Ability to articulate the College’s mission compellingly.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with donor management databases.
