About This Role

Illumina seeks a Laboratory Director (Principal Officer) to provide strategic and scientific leadership for the Singapore clinical genomics laboratory. This role drives operational excellence while ensuring rigorous regulatory compliance in genomic testing services.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and scientific leadership for all Singapore laboratory operations.
• Drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation across lab teams.
• Serve as the key operational representative for the Singapore site to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and execute operational plans, capacity strategies, and performance targets.
• Ensure full laboratory compliance with all applicable Singapore regulatory requirements (MOH, HSA, HCSA).
• Implement and oversee the laboratory management system, including quality and risk management.

• Expertise in molecular biology.
• Demonstrated leadership of clinical laboratory services.
• Commitment to delivering accurate, timely, and impactful genomic results.
• Experience in high-complexity genomic testing services.
• Ability to manage financial oversight and drive budget planning.
• Proficiency in regulatory compliance within clinical laboratory settings.
