Sr Software Engineer (18 Months Contract)

About This Role

Sr Software Engineer at Illumina, a Singapore-based genomic technology company, seeks an experienced candidate to lead digital solutions for manufacturing and operations. The role requires 5+ years of SDLC experience, proficiency in C#, Angular/NestJS, and deep knowledge of MES/LIMS/SAP systems to bridge business needs

Responsibilities

• Assess stakeholder needs and recommend digital tools aligned with business objectives.
• Present data-driven justifications for selected solutions, focusing on scalability and ROI.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops to gather input and ensure consensus on solution adoption.
• Develop process documentation, workflows, and solution blueprints for clarity and continuity.
• Apply AI or intelligent techniques to improve data quality, monitoring, or development workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science.
• >5 years of experience participating in end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) projects.
• Successfully led more than 1 project from initiation to completion.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira.
• Strong ability to analyze business and operational processes to design scalable, data-driven solutions.
