Senior Research Engineer, Lab Operations, Laboratory, Cleanroom & Management

About This Role

A*STAR Senior Research Engineer in Lab Operations, Cleanroom & Management requires experience in facility maintenance, procurement, and project management to oversee FM work vendors, maintain records, manage contractors, and ensure continuous improvement in laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Source for FM-related work vendors and raise PRs.
• Apply for temporary passes for FM contractors and manage goods receipt.
• Maintain comprehensive records of departmental documents for audits.
• Prepare tender specifications and oversee project implementation to closing stages.
• Conduct utilities assessments, ensure facility installations, and manage repair/maintenance of FM systems.
• Plan preventive maintenance contracts, escort vendors, investigate root causes of failures, and track maintenance works.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in building/facility maintenance and services.
• Experience handling service personnel in lab environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with procurement/tender processes and project management skills.
• Independent, possess good team spirit, and willingness to learn.
