About This Role
A*STAR Director, Finance is a senior public finance leader responsible for overseeing multi-billion dollar budgets and statutory board operations in Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Oversee A*STAR Statutory Board finance operations and governance.
- Stewardship of Research Development Fund budgets as grantor and implementing agency.
- Oversee reporting of cash budget, retained earnings, and RIE 5-year block budgets.
- Oversee engagement with internal and external audits including AGO.
- Drive timely closure of audit findings to strengthen controls.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance or Accountancy with a professional accounting qualification.
- Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience in public sector finance.
- Strong understanding of WOG Financial Governance Frameworks and MOF budget requirements.
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders across Ministries, Board, Councils and Central Agencies.
- Open to Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs).
