About This Role
A*STAR's Senior Laboratory Officer, Operations (FAB) role requires a Nitec engineer with semiconductor equipment experience to operate and troubleshoot wafer processing tools, manage logistics within a cleanroom environment, and ensure strict EHS compliance.
Responsibilities
- Operate semiconductor equipment and perform wafer processes with different tool types.
- Monitor basic equipment/process errors and perform 1st level basic tool recovery.
- Work with internal and external parties to align for tool time, execute process sequences, and collect data.
- Logistically transport wafer lots between equipment within the cleanroom and worksites.
- Identify areas for improvements such as cycle time, utilization, and cost.
- Perform chemical change/ top-up for equipment under supervision.
Requirements
- Nitec/Higher Nitec in Engineering, Electronics, or related fields.
- Strong adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures.
- Proficient in operating semiconductor equipment and basic troubleshooting.
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or wafer processing is a plus.
- Able to transport wafers in cleanroom and coordinate logistics.
- Independent, responsible, able to work in a team and comply to work inside cleanroom for minimum 9~10hrs.
