About This Role

Seeking a PhD candidate in mathematics, CS, or related fields with R/Python expertise to develop AI/machine learning pipelines for the Asian Immune Diversity Atlas (AIDA) and Human Cell Atlas bionetworks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop cutting-edge AI/machine learning methods and pipelines for integrating gene expression and regulatory profiles of millions of cells.
  • Integrate and interrogate data from thousands of donors to establish a healthy immune baseline for disease comparisons.
  • Curate atlases of human cells that transform our understanding of human biology and uncover cellular building blocks.
  • Collaborate with international teams studying diverse donors, tissues, and AIDA/Human Cell Atlas bionetworks.
  • Contribute to the identification of biomarkers and therapeutic targets for diseases through single cell analysis.
  • Craft and curate atlases of human cells to elucidate fundamental insights into cellular diversity on phenotypes.

Requirements

  • PhD in mathematics, computer science, statistics, engineering, machine learning, signal processing, or computational genomics.
  • Experience in computational biology with strong mathematical sophistication and programming skills (R/Python).
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with international teams.
  • Post-doctoral track record including impactful publications.
