About This Role
A*STAR is seeking a registered WSH Officer with laboratory experience to manage the Workplace Safety & Health Management System, liaise with government agencies, and ensure compliance with Singapore's WSH Act.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the WSHMS in accordance with local legislation.
- Liaise with government agencies and ensure regulatory compliance (MOH, AVS, etc.).
- Provide advice on changes to Acts and Regulations.
- Assist in implementing risk management plans and conducting risk assessments.
- Conduct incidents investigations, root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct safety inspections to identify performance gaps.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, or Occupational Safety and Health.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in laboratories or research environments preferred.
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM will have an added advantage.
- Familiarity with Singapore and International WSH Standards and Regulations.
- Self-driven, meticulous, and strong multi-tasking ability.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
