About This Role
A*STAR's Senior Research Engineer, Operations (FAB) role requires a 10+ year semiconductor fabrication background in cleanroom environments to operate tools, perform daily duties using computer programs, and support equipment recovery for wafer lots.
Responsibilities
- Handle multiple tool types in a cleanroom environment
- Operate tools according to process specifications and work out on setup protocols
- Provide operation coverage and backup tool support when necessary
- Monitor tools output performance and communicate with Engineers-in-Charge for error recovery
- Demonstrate teamwork in executing process sequences and performing data collection
- Strictly follow safety protocols, cleanroom rules, and 6S work environment standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microelectronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering
- > 10 years of experience in semiconductor fabrication processes (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with semiconductor operations in a cleanroom environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills
- Team player with good communication skills, ability to work independently and guide a group of operators
- Self-motivated, dependable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced R&D environment
