About This Role
A*STAR is seeking a Senior Principal Scientist in Neuroscience to lead an internationally competitive research programme focused on neurodegeneration, glial biology, and translational neuroscience.
Responsibilities
- Develop an internationally competitive research programme in neurodegeneration and glial biology.
- Drive innovative therapeutic strategies for neurological diseases through molecular and cellular neuroscience.
- Establish translational pipelines spanning disease modelling, regenerative medicine, and preclinical validation.
- Translate discoveries into clinical opportunities, including partnerships and spinoffs.
- Secure competitive external funding from national and international agencies.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing research team.
Requirements
- PhD in Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or Regenerative Medicine.
- Strong publication track record in leading peer-reviewed journals (e.g., Cell, Nature).
- Proven ability to secure substantial competitive funding.
- Track record of mentoring and developing successful trainees.
