About This Role
A*STAR is seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow in Tumor Immunology and Organoid Models to lead research on tumor-immune interactions, organoid model development/validation, and therapeutic target discovery.
Responsibilities
- Lead independent research projects in tumor-immune cell interactions and inflammatory signaling.
- Design, execute, and oversee mechanistic studies using molecular and immunological approaches for organoid models.
- Perform in vivo experiments using syngeneic and orthotopic mouse tumor models to validate findings.
- Analyze multi-omics and immunological datasets, including spatial transcriptomics.
- Contribute to manuscript preparation, grant writing, and mentorship of junior researchers.
- Ensure good organization and documentation of all experimental procedures and data.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology or related discipline.
- Demonstrated track record of leading research projects independently and first authored publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.
- Prior experience in leading cancer immunology projects and generation of organoid models is highly advantageous.
- Strong expertise in mammalian cell culture, lentivirus production and transduction, FACS, immunohistochemistry.
- Proficient in the characterization of mouse tumor models and organoid culture systems.
- Experience with spatial transcriptomics and computational analysis of transcriptomic datasets is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in scientific writing, presentation of research findings, and organizational skills.
