About This Role
Laboratory Officer / Senior Laboratory Officer (FAB) at A*STAR's Institute of Microelectronics requires a Nitec engineer with semiconductor equipment experience to operate wafers, perform SPC and loading/unloading tasks, monitor process errors, coordinate logistics within cleanroom, and ensure EHS compliance.
Responsibilities
- Operate semiconductor equipment to process wafers and perform SPC, loading/unloading operations.
- Monitor basic equipment/process errors and perform 1st level tool recovery.
- Work with internal and external parties to align for tool time, execute process sequences, and collect data.
- Logistically transport wafer lots between equipment within cleanroom and worksites.
- Identify areas for improvements such as cycle time, utilization, and cost.
- Perform chemical change/top-up for equipment under supervision.
Requirements
- Nitec/Higher Nitec in Engineering, Electronics, or related fields.
- Strong adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures.
- Proficient in operating semiconductor equipment and basic troubleshooting.
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or wafer processing is a plus.
- Able to transport wafers in cleanroom and coordinate logistics.
- Independent, responsible, able to work in a team and comply to work inside cleanroom for minimum 9~10hrs.
