About This Role
A*STAR I2R seeks a Senior Research Engineer to lead data engineering, machine learning pipelines, and ETL workflows for digital health applications.
Responsibilities
- Explore, sensemake, and preprocess large-scale healthcare datasets.
- Design and develop automated ETL pipelines leveraging multimodal health data for AI/ML solutions.
- Develop knowledge extraction and feature engineering pipelines to translate raw data into model-ready features.
- Translate downstream AI development, inference, and evaluation tasks from raw data to clinical applications.
- Collaborate with clinicians, health ecosystem stakeholders, and government entities on ambitious research projects.
- Work in a highly interdisciplinary R&D team to transform patient care and improve health outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Biomedical Engineering, Health Informatics, Computational Biology, or Data Science.
- Strong data science and programming abilities with experience in two or more of the specified areas (e.g., ETL, biomedical informatics, AI/ML).
