Senior Laboratory Officer , Technology Centre for Offshore and Marine, Singapore

About This Role

A*STAR Senior Laboratory Officer requires a Diploma in Computer/Electronic Engineering with hands-on troubleshooting experience, scripting skills (PowerShell/Bash), and strong organizational abilities to support end-user hardware/software issues in the Technology Centre for Offshore & Marine.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on desktop troubleshooting support for end-users on hardware, software, and network issues.
• Resolve account-related issues and perform asset verification/audit to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Conduct change requests for software installation and hardware configuration changes.
• Assist IT team in maintaining documentation and troubleshooting guides.
• Support onboarding/off-boarding of staff with IT asset deployment and recovery.

Requirements

• At least Higher Nitec Diploma Certification in Computer/Electronic Engineering
• Relevant IT certifications (Microsoft, AWS, Cisco/Fortinet) are added advantage
• Proven intermediate level hands-on troubleshooting proficiency with Windows, Linux, and networking equipment
• Experience with scripting tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good command of written and spoken English Language
