Deputy Director, Finance (Management Reporting)

About This Role

A*STAR Deputy Director, Finance (Management Reporting) is a senior role requiring 12+ years of experience in financial analysis, management reporting, and stakeholder engagement to oversee monthly/quarterly reports, drive process automation with AI, and lead a team in data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting processes to provide regular reports to A*STAR's Reporting Entities and Leadership.
• Consolidate financial results across Divisions and provide variance analysis to deliver insightful commentary on performance trends.
• Develop enterprise-wide dashboards for self-help management reporting and participate in Budgeting and Forecasting.
• Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, tools, reporting frameworks, and templates to implement automation.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and maintain accuracy of financial data by creating SAP master data (e.g., Profit Centre, Cost Centre) and General Ledger account codes.
• Manage a team of analysts and reporting specialists to foster collaboration, innovation, and accountability in data analytics and visualization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with CPA/CFA/MBA preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in financial analysis, management reporting, or FP&A.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, consolidation, and performance metrics.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (S4/Hana), Planning Software, and BI tools.
• Familiarity with AI-driven reporting, forecasting, and automation technologies is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
