About This Role

A*STAR's Genome Institute of Singapore seeks Principal Investigators in the GIS to lead genomic research on AI, cancer genomics, precision health, and technology development.

Responsibilities

• Lead independent research programs in AI, cancer genomics, precision health, and technology development.
• Leverage GIS sequencing facilities, computational analytics, and biological systems for translational insights.
• Conduct cutting-edge team-based research with a strong record of peer-reviewed publications and external funding.
• Drive expansion into indicated research areas to complement A*STAR's larger-scale genomic efforts.
• Complement programs at GIS and synergise with ongoing A*STAR initiatives for societal impact.
• Develop innovative genomic methodologies, including saturation mutagenesis and molecular engineering.

Requirements

• An MD, PhD, or equivalent degree in biological, genomic, or computational sciences.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct cutting-edge team-based research with a strong record of peer-reviewed publications.
• Past successes in intellectual property creation will be an advantage.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic research organization with multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment.
