Responsibilities

The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Execute policies and processes pertaining to the administration of the funding initiative(s) / national programme(s).
  • Communicate the funding initiative(s)’s policies and processes to public sector research performers.
  • Liaise with grantees on pre- and post-award matters.
  • Monitor closely the research progress, manpower situation, fund utilisation and KPIs / milestones of the funding initiative(s) / national programme(s), and carry out appropriate intervention where necessary
  • Perform secretariat duties for the funding initiative(s) / national programme(s), including running of grant calls, convening of evaluation panels and engagement of various stakeholders.
  • Work with the Lead PI(s) of the national programme(s) to ensure that the relevant documentations and reports are in order for the Ops and Strategy meetings.
  • Build excellence in grants management through the development, refinement and implementation of best practices, within A*STAR and through working with other funding agencies.
  • Support ecosystem-building activities for the funding initiative(s).
  • Keep abreast of the latest industry and tech developments associated with the funding initiative / national programme 

Requirements

  • Possesses a tertiary degree, preferably in physics or engineering with an understanding of quantum technologies
  • At least 2 years of working experience in planning, governance and/or programme management roles
  • Keen interest in work related to programme management, especially in the research & development sector
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and systems thinking abilities
  • Resourceful and independent
  • Able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
