Technical Project Manager

About This Role

Applied Materials seeks a Technical Project Manager with 4-7 years of experience in precision manufacturing, mechanical engineering backgrounds, and GD&T standards to lead projects involving fabrication, cost analysis via DFx tenets, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead precision machined, sheet metal, and plastic parts manufacturing projects.
• Perform technical calculations on individual builds to determine fair prices for customers and suppliers.
• Prepare project plans, track deliverables using reports and checklists, and coordinate attainment of objectives.
• Drive process improvements through DFx tenets and collaborate with design engineers on cost reduction ideas.
• Maintain a matrix for process improvements and contribute to team technical development toward project goals.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including Design, Materials, Mfg., Quality, and Suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma with additional experience.
• 4-7 years minimum of relevant manufacturing and mechanical engineering experience.
• Good knowledge of Manufacturability/Producibility practices for precision parts and sheet metal fabrication.
• Understanding of GD&T standards for proper part application.
• Ability to perform technical calculations on individual builds and simple assemblies.
• Experience with precision parts manufacturing environments preferred.
• Demonstrated conceptual and practical expertise in mechanical or production engineering.
