Software Engineer: C/C++ Development (New College Graduate)

About This Role

A new college graduate seeking a Software Engineer role in the Supervisory Control System software division at Applied Materials, Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software solutions for equipment control and automation systems
• Troubleshoot complex software problems and provide timely status updates to stakeholders
• Interface with internal stakeholders regarding software issues and acquire domain knowledge beyond software
• Develop, test, and document software changes for new requirements or enhancements to existing functionality

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Electronics, or Electrical
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming on Windows platforms using Microsoft technologies
• Sound knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and operating systems
• Excellent analytical skills, methodical problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities
• Strong communication skills for verbal and written interaction with extended teams
