About This Role
Applied Materials seeks a Failure Analysis & Reliability Technician to build and test display/wafer fabrication equipment in Singapore, focusing on reliability environmental stress testing (RTS) and process analysis.
Responsibilities
- Support reliability jobs for process rejects, qualification samples, and RMAs.
- Plan daily shifts to ensure timely completion of FA & REL tasks.
- Ensure handover of jobs to the next shift and conduct audits.
- Provide mentorship guidance to operators and perform basic maintenance on tools/machines.
- Contribute to lab setup for task enablement and support audit work.
- Perform maintenance of workplace to meet 5S safety requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma in Material/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred.
- >3 years of semiconductor/display experience or related technical training/certifications.
- Understanding and knowledge of Reliability Environmental Stress Test Requirement (RTS), including HTHH, TC, UV & LT tests.
- Hands-on experience on common FA techniques and analysis instruments (cross-section, ion-mill, CSAM, EDX, FTIR, FIB).
- Material characterisation procedures including Bend, Abrasion & Adhesion tests.
- Knowledge of materials physics and ability to associate REL & FA test relevance.
- Self-directed capability to meet commitments and work independently with minimal supervision.
