About This Role
Applied Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Singapore for a 4pm-1.30am shift to build, repair, and test display and wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Utilize routine work orders, schematics, and wiring diagrams to build, repair, or test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic assemblies and components.
- Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting, and repairs to correct errors.
- Maintain a secure, safe, clean, and healthy work environment by observing safety standards.
- Report accidents, injuries, or safety hazards promptly to the supervisor or Safety department.
- Use test fixtures and measurement equipment to test assemblies, enter data on terminals, and perform repairs or software installs.
- Detail finished work, receive parts for audits to ensure availability and inspect for defects.
Requirements
- Physically demanding role requiring standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs/ladders, lifting, and driving or operating heavy machinery.
- Ability to distinguish between colors.
- Sensitivity to noise, ability to work in tight spaces, and use of hand/power tools.
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (coveralls, hoods, boots, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, face shields) for cleanroom work.
- Ability to drive or operate heavy machinery including forklifts.
