About This Role
Lead a diverse engineering team at Grab in Singapore, driving user acquisition and retention for the consumer experience. This high-impact role shapes the 'front door' of the Grab ecosystem through technical strategy and execution.
Responsibilities
- Translate business goals into actionable technical roadmaps across multiple domains.
- Directly manage and coach Engineering Managers and senior ICs.
- Drive architectural consistency and platformization for mobile/backend systems.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Data Science leadership.
- Oversee operational health, including incident response strategies at scale.
- Lead product discovery efforts balancing technical trade-offs against business impact.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in engineering management leading multiple teams/managers.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale consumer-facing products.
- Deep experience in Mobile Platform, Scalable Backend Microservices, or Data Science/ML.
- Working knowledge of LLMs and agentic workflows is required.
- Demonstrated ability to influence technical/product strategy across boundaries.
- Passion for coaching and developing engineering leaders.
- Expert understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and SRE practices.
- Data-driven mindset using A/B testing to achieve business outcomes.
