Customer Engineer at Applied Materials is a full-time role requiring Tier I unassisted service skills, including troubleshooting electrical and vacuum systems, coordinating with customers for operations, and ensuring full customer satisfaction within work areas.
Responsibilities
- Performs standard Tier I unassisted service activities
- Performs standard Tier II with assistance and completes quality repairs
- Responds to fab issues by communicating with other engineers and participating in escalation conference calls
- May participate in projects to reduce costs and increase uptime
Requirements
- Able to perform routine preventative maintenance within established timeframes
- Assists senior engineers as needed
- Uses training and experience to identify process, software or hardware related system problems
- Assumes responsibility for complete customer satisfaction within work area
