About This Role
A Regional Transportation Operations Specialist at Applied Materials is responsible for managing third-party managed service providers, optimizing load planning in the TMS system, and ensuring SLAs are met across Bulk Air, Ocean, Bulk Ground, and Parcel shipping networks in Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Manage third-party managed service providers for load planning and optimization in Applied's TMS system.
- Ensure timely and productive movement of inbound, in-network, and outbound shipments across all shipping networks.
- Establish clear SLAs/KPIs for carrier transit times and performance compared to agreed service levels.
- Drive productivity in manual load planning capabilities by identifying root causes and implementing best practices.
- Collaborate with Logistics Operations, Connectivity, Finance Teams, Buyers, and Suppliers to align expectations.
- Serve as an escalation point for TMS routing issues related to managed services provider performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics or Transportation Operations.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in logistics and transportation operations.
- Strong communication skills at all levels, including dealing with ambiguity.
- Ability to deal with technical and operational problems effectively.
- High level of business acumen.
