About This Role
Applied Materials Technical Product Support (TPS) Engineer role requires hands-on experience in Wafer Fabrication Semiconductor tools like CVD and PVD, with the ability to work in a cleanroom environment and support customers through fleet performance, system installations, and ECO data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all technical support related aspects at a specific customer, including escalations and fleet performance.
- Acts as intermediary and field escalation focal point between customers and Division personnel to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
- Provides Alpha Site support for new hardware/process/software design in-house or on engineering tools, and Beta Site Support for customer tools.
- Initiates ECO reviews to ensure data supports fixes, followed by communication with field teams and generation of performance metrics (MTBF, MTBI, Availability) as required.
- Generates and presents system performance data including process data and I/W spending analysis, ensuring documentation covers technical improvements and support plans.
- Supports GPS in the generation of CENs, BKMs, and documentation covering technical improvements, system upgrades, and support plans at customer level.
Requirements
- Prior hands-on experiences in Wafer Fabrication Semiconductor tools (CVD, PVD, Etch), with specific emphasis on the mentioned tool types.
- Relevant education qualification in Engineering, typically from a recognized university or technical institute.
- Ability to work with deadlines and all levels of internal and external stakeholders including customers.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom work environment.
