Manager, Operations Management

About This Role

Applied Materials is seeking a Manager, Operations Management role in Singapore to oversee manufacturing operations, ensure safety compliance, and drive quality improvements while managing production schedules and team performance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees in assembly, inspection, and test functions related to capital equipment.
• Prioritize production schedules based on manpower, efficiency, and materials requirements.
• Participate in operational meetings to support performance metrics and cycle time improvement.
• Ensure timely response to operations issues impacting customer satisfaction and safety compliance.
• Oversee the prevention of employee accidents, injuries, and ensure appropriate training for all department staff.
• Develop personnel including team goals, implement performance management processes, and manage selection/hiring/discipline.

Requirements

• Standing for extended periods of time, walking, and working in tight spaces.
• Ability to work with noise that may be difficult for some individuals, including those sensitive to it.
• Use of hand and power tools in a clean room environment with appropriate PPE (coveralls, gloves, respirators, etc.).
• Demonstrates understanding of procedures and concepts within the manufacturing family.
• Has formal supervisory responsibilities to set priorities and coach employees on daily deadlines.
• Uses judgment to identify and resolve technical and operational problems.
