Hardware Qualification & Development Support Team Engineer

About This Role

Applied Materials Hardware Qualification & Development Support Team Engineer is a senior role requiring a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, or related fields with 5+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment qualification and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform tool build, integration, testing, and troubleshooting
• Ensure tools remain up for Process and hardware qualifications
• Work with Clean Room Facilities group to specify requirements and manage issues
• Understand facilities availability and troubleshoot facility-related problems
• Qualify non-system components and execute calibration procedures for off and on tools
• Define and execute qualification plans, including routine preventative maintenance and quality repairs

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in hardware qualification, testing, or development support in semiconductor equipment
• Hands-on experience with test equipment and failure analysis
• Strong understanding of hardware design principles and reliability testing methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
