Job Purpose Power Section Manager leads a team of engineers and assistant engineers responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation, and upgrading of power systems. This includes overseeing high and low voltage assets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement to support operational excellence and safety. Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities for Power Section Managers are as listed below. Leadership & Team Management Supervise and guide a team of engineers and assistant engineers in day-to-day operations and long-term planning Develop team competencies through coaching, mentoring and performance evaluations Allocate resources effectively to meet operational and project targets Collaborate with cross-functional departments (e.g., Projects, Operations, SCADA) for integrated operations To undertake any other tasks or functions which are incidental, ancillary or additional to the assigned work. Power System Operations Involve in project discussion, planning and execution of electrical assets including HV/LV switchgears, UPS and power distribution systems Ensure operational reliability and contingency planning during project execution Coordinate and review switching arrangements between PSCO and Projects Oversee electrical design reviews, system studies and commissioning activities Compliance & Safety Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, electrical codes, and safety requirements Champion safe work practices, including Permit-to-Work systems and electrical isolation protocols Participate in audits, investigations and root cause analysis of incidents Qualifications & Work Experience Technician Electrical License (LEW Grade 8 or above ) would be an added advantage. Preferably with 4 or more years of electrical working experience. With self-motivation, always striving to improve or meet a standard of excellence. Able to lead by example. Able to communicate effectively and work as a team. Skills Technical skills include: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS PowerPoint, MS Words & MS Excel) Able to read and interpret single-line diagrams.
