About our group: Sputtering is the heart of media process in recording media organization. The Sputter Process Engineering team (RMO) is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining thin-film deposition processes for advanced PMR and HAMR media technologies. We are a dynamic team working in a world’s largest state-of-the art magnetic media manufacturing environment with highly automated processes and advanced control systems. About the role - you will: Perform visual and physical inspections on targets to identify abnormalities (e.g., warping, surface roughness, cracks) and determine appropriate rework or disposition paths. Plan and coordinate logistics and target loading activities, including DOE support for customized and new targets to facilitate qualification activities. Support machine configuration changes, including initiating and following up on work requests for system updates or modifications. Ensure accurate inventory verification and tracking of targets (incoming, in-process, and outgoing). Address and support resolution of target-related issues, including initiating investigations and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Manage documentation and records through proper file management, ensuring accurate organization, storage, and maintenance of target-related information. Coordinate sample preparation and submission to MSL or failure analysis laboratories for evaluation. Review and update QPA (Quantity Per Assembly) data as required to ensure accuracy in usage and planning. Perform ad hoc assignments and support activities as required by operations or engineering teams. About you: Able to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively across cross-functional teams. Strong team player with a collaborative and resourceful approach to problem-solving. Detail-oriented and capable of working independently when required. Your experience includes: Diploma in Engineering and/or related disciplines. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in the manufacturing process is preferable. Location: Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT Station, with many employees taking mass transportation to work.
