About This Role
Seagate seeks a Manufacturing Specialist III to lead production processes in their Singapore facility. This role involves overseeing manufacturing operations, training staff, and ensuring high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead production processes including equipment setup, fabrication, and testing.
- Manage manpower deployment and operate automated/semi-automatic machinery.
- Perform complex electrical tasks during assembly and conduct on-the-job training.
- Serve as a line trainer ensuring adherence to quality standards and work instructions.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams to resolve issues.
- Support manufacturing improvements and handle operational metric reporting.
Requirements
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate a small production team.
- Strong understanding of English for reading Work Instructions.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.
- Physically capable of handling items up to 3 kg.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended shifts (4-7 hours).
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating pattern.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
