About This Role
The Assistant Vice President, Singapore HR role provides essential operational support to MUFG Bank Singapore and Securities Asia. This position ensures the safety, soundness, and compliance of all HR activities by aligning global delivery with local Singaporean requirements.
Responsibilities
- Support Country Head of HR as the main interaction point between management and HR.
- Assist in preparing country-specific inputs for Global HR functions to shape people plans and strategies.
- Maintain and update reference materials on country-specific employment practices for compliance.
- Assist in preparing HR materials for local boards, governance committees, and external regulators.
- Support ER activities, including case management and liaison with trade unions.
- Act as the main point for HR policies, ensuring local procedures align with regulations and market standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of HR support/coordination experience in financial services.
- Proven ability to work effectively across cultures and in a global environment.
- Understanding of local employment/labor laws and financial industry regulatory requirements.
- Ability to advise, coach, and guide managers.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple cyclical and ad-hoc HR programs simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of generalist HR practices and GHR policies.
