Key Responsibilities

  • & responsibilities include:
  • This role is to take part in printer system development to demonstrate PHA and/or Ink baseline performance. For example: Nozzle health, edge roughness, spray, decap, flowrate, color and other print quality metrics will be the standard performance metrics to monitor while looking for pen/ink/printer related interaction issues.
  • Take part and collaborate on Pen fluidic and ink characterization. The WS engineer will be responsible for providing the data that can illustrate the expected fluidic arch and ink performance and highlight any issues with the integrated system.
  • Autopsy/Triage/Failure tracking. This task involves collecting failed printheads, performing the initial triage, coordinating the appropriate failure analysis work, summarizing, reporting out the analysis, and assigning next steps for each one of them.
  • Lead issue resolution using structured robust problem-solving methods.
  • Close collaboration with other print cartridge team in Corvallis/San Diego and printer partners in Singapore.
  • Interact with Ink Supplies Organization (ISO) manufacturing teams. Transfer & support printhead manufacturing qualification.
  • Education & Experience Recommended

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Material/ Chemical engineering or relevant.
  • Technical breath & system approach.
  • Demonstrated analytical and empirical problem-solving skills.
  • System thinker, looking for connections, and comfortable with things being dynamic.
  • Good flexibility and adaptability are key.
  • Fluent in spoken & written English.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple time zones / both within and outside one's own work group
  • Available for occasional travel (25%).
