Key Responsibilities
- Provides direct leadership for organizations designing, developing, and sustaining toner cartridges and related hardware across new platforms, derivatives, and legacy products
- Oversees engineering execution across multiple concurrent programs ensuring alignment with Toner Supplies and Solutions platform strategies and business objectives
- Guides technical decision‑making for complex trade‑offs involving cost, yield, reliability, manufacturability, and time‑to‑market
- Acts as escalation point for challenging cross‑functional and supplier‑driven technical issues
- Manages headcount, skill mix, budgets, schedules, and deliverables across multiple teams and programs
- Ensures effective resource allocation across NPI, platform evolution, and sustaining engineering
Requirements
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience
- Typically 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
- 8‑10 years of people and organizational leadership experience
- Experience in hardware product development, high‑volume manufacturing, platform‑based product strategies, and supplier‑intensive development models
- Demonstrated expertise in mechanical system and component design for high‑volume consumable products
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, machining, sheet metal, and tooling
