Mid-level engineer responsible for day-to-day operations and reliability of critical infrastructure in a data center environment, including mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. Focus on preventive maintenance, continuous improvement, and vendor coordination to ensure 100% uptime.

Key Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day operations and maintenance of critical data center infrastructure including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and fire suppression systems
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on critical systems to ensure 100% uptime and reliability
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for system failures and performance issues
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, technical documentation, and maintenance schedules
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate third-party maintenance activities
- Execute commissioning and decommissioning of data center equipment and infrastructure
- Monitor system performance through KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Support capacity planning and change management processes for infrastructure upgrades
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency situations as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data center operations, critical facilities, or industrial maintenance environments
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems including HVAC, UPS, generators, and switchgear
- Experience with building management systems (BMS), SCADA, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Knowledge of data center best practices and industry standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation and standard operating procedures
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for vendor coordination and cross-functional collaboration
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred
- PMP certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environmental conditions
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies
- Proficiency with MS Office and CMMS software applications
