About This Role
A Senior/Manager in the MEE Department leads engineering analytics, defect investigation, and reliability improvement for SMRT Trains by developing work instructions, certification procedures, and fault tree analysis.
Responsibilities
- Lead in the identification and consolidation of engineering standards for mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Lead in the conduct of certification for workshops in accordance with SMRT Workshop procedures.
- Develop work instructions, test parameters, and test benches to enhance workshop repair capabilities.
- Lead in the conduct of engineering analytics for condition monitoring data and defect trending to seek insights.
- Lead in the development of engineering solutions, propose modifications, and implement safety measures with Ops.
- Identify and develop alternate parts/out-of-manual repairs to support obsolescence management.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering with at least 5 years of managerial experience.
- Previous Railway System experience is advantageous.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable with hands-on work in maintenance workshops alongside engineers.
- Adept with diagnostics and reliability engineering methods including FMECA, Fault Tree analysis, Weibull analysis.
- Effective organizational and planning skills.
- Fluent in written and oral communication.
