About This Role

VP, Release Manager at DBS is responsible for end-to-end governance of testing environments, ensuring stable production deployments through comprehensive masking and rigorous risk management across hybrid cloud-native platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provision and maintain pre-production testing environments supporting the full testing lifecycle.
• Coordinate complex cutover events and manage data masking to ensure information security during changes.
• Define governance rules for testing environments and drive their adoption across all application teams.
• Establish, communicate, and enforce ground rules for the proper utilization of testing environments.
• Prevent defects and resolve issues related to test environments, ensuring high stability and reducing failures.
• Design, improve, and implement tools that strengthen the testing ecosystem for repeatable releases.

Requirements

• 5+ years in release management within large, mission-critical environments.
• Hands-on experience with mainframe technologies and containerized/cloud-native platforms (e.g., OpenShift/Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of APIs, event streaming/queues (Kafka), networking (VPC/GTM), and observability tools.
• Understanding of banking processes including origination, transactions, and advisory to impact value streams.
