About the role
The Capacity Planner optimizes factory output and equipment utilization within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. The role involves developing complex capacity models, managing work-in-progress (WIP) flow, and coordinating capital expenditure justifications to align production targets with equipment capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update tool-level capacity models to ensure accurate production and output forecasting
- Perform regular bottleneck analysis and recommend mitigation strategies to meet delivery schedules
- Analyze factory WIP levels and cycle time trends to identify opportunities for throughput improvement
- Collaborate with equipment engineering to monitor tool performance metrics and availability
- Support long-range planning and capital expenditure (CapEx) justifications for new equipment acquisition
- Generate management reports and dashboards detailing factory performance and capacity KPIs
- Coordinate with production control and operations teams to align daily output targets with strategic goals
- Utilize factory simulation tools to model various production scenarios and optimize tool sets
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related technical field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in capacity planning or production control in a high-volume manufacturing setting
- Strong proficiency in advanced data analysis using Microsoft Excel and VBA
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle
- Demonstrated ability to perform complex data modeling and statistical analysis using SQL
- Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and factory physics
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical data to cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
