Job Description
[What the role is] [LTA-PT] DEPUTY/ASSISTANT MANAGER, PUBLIC TRANSPORT DATA ENGINEERING [What you will be working on] You will be responsible for delivering data solutions that enable operational monitoring, strategic planning, and digital transformation across the Public Transport Group. Key functions include dashboard development, automation tool creation, fulfilling data requests, and exploring AI-powered analytics to enhance decision-making and efficiency. Key responsibilities: Develop and maintain interactive dashboards to monitor KPIs for public transport operations. Automate data processing and reporting using VBA macros and Python scripts. Contribute to implementation of AI-powered analytics, including machine learning and natural language processing (NLP). Work closely with internal users to gather requirements and translate them into digital solutions. Analyse diverse datasets across public transport operations, infrastructure, and services to identify meaningful patterns, trends, and correlations. Provide timely reports on performance metrics to stakeholders on regular basis. [What we are looking for] Knowledge in Data Science, Statistics, Industrial Systems & Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, VBA, Python and R. Experience with data visualisation platforms like Tableau and Power BI. Familiarity with AI and machine learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, NLP and intelligent visualisation. Experience in applying AI tools to enhance data-driven decision-making and automate repetitive tasks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development. Ability to communicate technical findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also contributing effectively to team-based projects. Self-motivated and eager to explore emerging technologies and continuously improve technical capabilities. Those without working experience are welcome to apply.
