Senior facilities engineer leading technical operations for a critical industrial site. Responsible for HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems reliability, energy management, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical operations and maintenance for facility infrastructure including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and fire-life-safety systems
- Manage and optimize building management systems (BMS), energy management systems (EMS), and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Develop and implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and uptime
- Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting for complex facility issues and system failures
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Manage capital projects including equipment upgrades, retrofits, and new installations
- Oversee vendor relationships and contractor management for facility services and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including EPA, OSHA, and local codes
- Develop and manage facility budgets, forecasts, and energy management programs
- Lead emergency response and crisis management for facility operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related technical field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in facilities engineering or building operations in industrial or manufacturing environments
- EPA Universal CFC certification required
- OSHA 30-hour certification required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification preferred
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) certification preferred
- LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) certification preferred
- NICET certification in fire protection engineering preferred
- NFPA 70E electrical safety certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, and mechanical systems
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS), DDC controllers, and SCADA systems
- Proficiency with CMMS and preventive maintenance programs
- Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement methodologies (lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
