Business Function Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions ? whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services. The bank is also a certified Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) for the Singapore Qualification Programme by the Singapore Accountancy Commission and an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Approved Employer. Role Description & Responsibilities Partnering closely with business, you will drive day to day operational and financial responsibilities including performance management and financial processes/ MIS delivery, governance, risks and controls. You will work closely with the respective unit heads, leads and their planning teams to support the productivity & optimization agenda. Main functional responsibilities and deliverables Performance management and business partnering: Work closely with business in areas of financial analysis and MIS, drive deeper data insights for cost/ expense drivers Improve clarity and transparency in financial reporting, evolve MIS to suit business needs Partner across the region to ensure consistency across locations Support business strategy Forecasting & Budgeting: Drive the annual planning process Business cases & contract management: Work closely with business to refine business cases, incl investments & benefits quantification; monitor initiative financials Critically review contract proposals incl. assessment for business needs, appropriate governance and approvals, and save quantification Others such as cross border billing and cost allocations Efficiency: identify process automation opportunities for efficiency within team Requirements More than 8 years of experience preferably in banking and finance Experience with business and financial planning, forecasting and budgeting, accounting Strong in Excel and Powerpoint. Plus to have experience using finance databases (e.g. Oracle essbase) Ability to operate independently, collaborating with senior colleagues to drive outcomes Location: DBS Asia Central Job: Finance Schedule: Regular Employee Status: Full time
