Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day electricity trading execution across intra‑day, day‑ahead, short‑term and term horizons
- Set desk priorities, ensure coverage discipline and act as escalation point for market events
- Conduct post‑trade and post‑event reviews to improve decision quality
- Manage, coach and develop a team of electricity traders
- Establish performance expectations, conduct regular check‑ins and development plans
- Maintain desk standards, controls, playbooks and documentation
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Engineering or a related field
- Strong experience in electricity trading and/or market operations within power and gas trading or a trading house with physical exposure
- Demonstrated experience leading a trading desk or managing traders
- Deep understanding of wholesale electricity market dynamics, trading operations and risk discipline, particularly in Singapore or similar markets
- Proven people leadership skills including coaching, performance management and team rhythm
- Strong commercial judgment and disciplined risk mindset
