About the role
Intern role in Sembcorp Specialised Construction focusing on civil and structural engineering design, analysis, and construction support.

Key Responsibilities
- Gain a strong understanding of SCAE's internal design workflows and procedures.
- Apply relevant codes of practice and regulatory requirements in day‑to‑day design tasks.
- Utilize structural design software such as TEDDS, PROKON, and in‑house Excel tools for 2D calculations.
- Develop foundational knowledge of 3D FEM software platforms including ETABS, Tekla Structural Designer, and IDEA StatiCa.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and multidisciplinary consultants throughout project phases.
- Prepare and deliver design presentations to communicate concepts, schematics, alternative solutions, and value‑engineering options.
Requirements
- Background in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to conduct research and perform feasibility assessments.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and preparing reports or presentations.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate design documentation.
- Good time management with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
