Key Responsibilities
- MSP Operational Excellence: Inventory & Scope Governance Contractual Reconciliation: Perform quarterly audits to ensure the cloud resource inventory (AWS, Azure, GCP) matches the assets listed in the Client Service Agreement.
- Revenue Leakage Prevention: Identify "Scope Creep" by detecting new or unmapped resources that the MSP is managing but not yet charging for under the current management fee.
- Asset Lifecycle Management: Monitor the lifecycle of resources from provisioning to decommissioning to ensure the MSP is only responsible for active, contracted Configuration Items (CIs).
- Tagging Policy Enforcement: Design and enforce a cross-cloud tagging taxonomy to ensure 100% visibility into which resources belong to which contract, business unit, or service tier.
- Commitment Utilization: Oversee the allocation of Reserved Instances (RIs) and Savings Plans across the multi-tenant environment to ensure contractual performance targets are met.
- Client Value Delivery: Cost Optimization & Advisory Right-Sizing & Modernization: Analyze client usage patterns to provide actionable recommendations for downsizing over-provisioned resources or moving to more cost-effective instance families.
Requirements
- Required Experience & Skills
- Professional Experience: 5 years in Cloud Operations, IT Asset Management (ITAM), or Cloud Financial Management, preferably within an MSP or System Integrator environment.
- Multi-Cloud Proficiency: Deep functional knowledge of billing constructs and resource management across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud , focusing on cloud cost management / FinOps / cloud operations / cloud billing analytics (multi‑cloud preferred).
- Ability to normalise and explain usage and cost drivers across
- Technical Literacy: Proficiency in using cloud-native tools (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management).
- Data Analysis: Strong ability to manipulate large datasets using Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query) or SQL to identify inventory discrepancies.
