Key Responsibilities

  • The Work Package Manager (WPM) manages and coordinates internal multi-disciplined teams, including internal and external parties across the full engineering design lifecycle to deliver the assigned work package.
  • Develop Work Package Description
  • Consolidate the work package dashboard and lead progress meetings
  • The WPM is responsible for the quality of the delivered products, services and documentation within the project committed time and budget and in the scope of the work package
  • Lead the team and/or suppliers involved to perform the work package and ensures the respect of all commitments
  • Manage subcontractors and contingent labour

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or other relevant fields Project Management qualification and/or certification (PMBOK preferred)
  • Experience Previous experience in delivering software centric mission critical or high availability IT systems and networked computer infrastructure in a safety critical environment Understanding of Earned Value Management, Work Package Control and reporting, with exposure to scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera etc.)
  • Financial / budgetary management of engineering work packages or tasks Advanced reporting and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong customer engagement and negotiation skills Solid experience of leading and mentoring teams of 3-10 people
  • Experience in negotiating with suppliers Collaboration tools including Jira, Confluence etc.
