The Product Counsel Senior Manager is a legal leadership role focused on managing software products, services offerings, and complex commercial arrangements. This individual will handle technology transactions, IP law, and OSS licensing while managing global teams and exploring AI enablement for legal operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage software products and/or services offerings and complex commercial arrangements on client, alliances, and vendor sides
  • Support innovative technology and take software products, agentic frameworks, and services to market
  • Manage international teams and provide training to junior team members with remote employees across multiple time zones
  • Develop trusted relationships with business leaders to support strategic goals
  • Draft and negotiate technology-focused client-facing and vendor-facing agreements including SaaS, cloud, and software development agreements
  • Navigate data and security privacy issues, IP law, and OSS licensing in the context of product development
  • Coordinate the connection between in-bound agreements and client-facing agreements
  • Explore and implement tech enablement of legal functions, including legal AI agents

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience at a law firm and/or as in-house counsel at a technology company
  • Experience in managing software products and/or services offerings and complex commercial arrangements
  • Fluency in English with strong oral and written communications skills
  • Experience working with international teams in a global business environment
  • Team management experience including training of junior team members across multiple time zones
  • Individual achiever capable of operating with minimal oversight and direction
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in business strategies
  • Technology transactional experience in drafting and negotiating data licensing, SaaS, cloud, and software development agreements
  • Working knowledge of data and security privacy issues, IP law, and OSS licensing
  • Understanding of general product development considerations
  • Appetite for tech enablement of legal, including exploring legal AI agents
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
