About the role

This Vice President role leads the Cybersecurity Data Engineering team in designing and implementing high-scale data pipelines for security telemetry. The position focuses on architecting robust systems for threat detection, log management, and security analytics within an industrial technology framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the strategic vision and roadmap for cybersecurity data architecture and engineering
  • Lead a high-performing team of data engineers to build and maintain scalable ingestion frameworks
  • Partner with the CISO and security operations teams to identify and prioritize data source requirements
  • Oversee the design and implementation of real-time and batch processing pipelines for security logs
  • Manage the optimization of data storage and retrieval systems to support SIEM and threat hunting activities
  • Ensure the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of all security-related data assets
  • Drive automation initiatives to improve the efficiency of security data processing and analysis
  • Communicate project status, technical risks, and architectural decisions to executive leadership

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in data engineering or cybersecurity systems
  • Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams in a global or complex environment
  • Expert-level proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java
  • Deep technical expertise with Big Data technologies including Apache Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop
  • Extensive experience with cloud-native data services on AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and security monitoring principles
  • Demonstrated ability to architect large-scale data lakes and data warehousing solutions
  • Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or the ELK stack
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a security context
